Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Steady app ("the Service") collects and how it is used. We designed the Service to share a person's wellbeing only with the caregivers they (or their guardian) explicitly authorize.

What we collect

How Health & Location data are used

Health and location data are used solely to show a subject's current wellbeing to the caregivers linked to them and to send those caregivers alerts. We do not use this data for advertising or marketing, we do not sell it, we do not use it for data mining, and we do not store HealthKit data in iCloud. Location is generalized per-viewer: only owner/family caregivers see precise coordinates; others see an approximate area or only a "home/away" status.

Consent

A subject must consent to be monitored before any data is shown. Where a subject cannot consent for themselves, a caregiver/guardian attests to consent on their behalf and is responsible for having the legal authority to do so.

Sharing

Data is shared only with caregivers a subject or their guardian has authorized. We use Cloudflare to operate the Service and Apple to deliver notifications. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Retention & deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Account → Delete Account). Deletion permanently removes your account, every subject you created, and all associated health, location, and device data. You can also export your data from the same screen.
